Course for Hospital Staff

This course brings Online, the same training that WISH offers to the staff managing cases at any hospital empanelled to treat COVID-19 cases. The course provides comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge and build skills in specific areas that allows health workers to confidently deal with patients and their contacts in the community and in COVID Care Centres, COVID Health Centres and at COVID Hospitals.

Course for Front-line Workers

The role of ASHA Workers, ANMs and AWW in the management of Covid is discussed with an attempt to build skills in specific areas that allows these health workers to confidently deal with cases and their contacts at the community level as well as in Covid Care Centres. Focus is on safe practices like hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene and social distancing and supporting public health services through community surveillance and effective communication, dealing with issues such as stigma and discrimination.

Course for Nurses and Medical Officers

This course provides up-to-date knowledge and skills development in specific areas of work expected of Nurses and Medical Officers while dealing with patients and their contacts in the community and in Covid Care Centres, Covid Health Centres and at Covid Hospitals. One gets to learn topics like Triage, Quarantine Management, Medical management and Biomedical Waste Management through simulated 3D Virtual cases in simulated environments.

Course for Lab Technicians

Current Testing Strategy and Guidelines for Covid Testing get covered comprehensively  in this course for personnel working in, or planning to work in a laboratory for testing SARS-CoV-19.  You will learn all about Sample Collection, Storage, Packaging, Transport and Unpacking. Classification of infectious substances and biomedical waste management and safety issues are adequately dealt with.

Course for Doctors

This course brings Online, the same training that WISH offers to the Doctors managing cases at the hospitals empanelled to treat COVID-19 cases. The course provides comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge and build skills in specific areas that allows health workers to confidently deal with patients and their contacts in the community and in Covid Care Centres, Covid Health Centres and at Covid Hospitals.

Course on Vaccination

This course covers aspects of Vaccination against Covid-19 including setting up and conducting of vaccination sessions, cold chain management, safe injection practices, understanding the working of the CO-Win platform, monitoring, supervision, etc. It also covers communication aspects for advocacy, social mobilisation and media management. 

Hypertension

This course comprehensively covers the Epidemiology, Causes, Risk Factors, Clinical Features, Management, Prevention and Screening of Hypertension. This course will allow the health workers to confidently deal with new patients presenting with Hypertension and monitor those who are on treatment for Hypertension. The Virtual Reality Practical Module will help the health worker to practice checking BP and simulates scenarios to assess their competency in deciding whether to treat or refer.

Diabetes

This course comprehensively covers the Epidemiology, Causes, Classification, Clinical Features, Management, Prevention and Screening of Diabetes. Health workers can identify new patients presenting with impaired blood sugar levels and monitor sugar levels of those who are on treatment for Diabetes. The Virtual Reality Practical Module will allow practicing use of the Glucometer and screening for early signs of target organ damage.

Cervical Cancer & Screening

Cervical cancer is the third most common cancer among women in the world. This course comprehensively covers the Epidemiology, Causes, Classification, Clinical Features and Counselling for Cervical Cancer. The Virtual Reality Practical Simulation uses 3D mapped actual colposcopy pictures and will allow health workers to repeatedly practice the recommended VIA procedure for screening for recognizing normal reactions from those with having cancer.

Breast Cancer & Screening

In India, Breast Cancer is the second most common cancer among women and is emerging as the commonest cancer in urban centres. This course comprehensively covers the Epidemiology, Causes, Classification, Clinical Features and Self-Examination techniques for early detection of Breast Cancer. The Virtual Reality Practical Simulation allows one to follow guided steps on one standardized 3D case mapped with actual clinical imagery to practice the recommended steps and recognise the commonest presenting features.

Oral Cancer & Screening

Oral cancer including cancer of the lip, tongue, gum and floor of mouth is one the most common cancers in India. It is both preventable and curable as it takes a long time to develop from pre-cancerous lesions. This course covers the Epidemiology, Risk Factors, Clinical Features and Management aspects of Oral Cancer. The Virtual Reality Practical Module teaches health workers to follow guided steps on a standardized 3D case mapped with actual clinical imagery to recognise various pre-cancerous lesions for appropriate referral.
